Final Fantasy XIV servers are down to prepare for the release of Dawntrail

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is the latest one in a long list of expansions that have contributed to maintaining Square Enix's MMORPG as the #1 in the genre. The servers were taken down yesterday for extended maintenance and to prepare for tomorrow's launch, and they won't be available again until tomorrow at about 11 am CEST. The massive influx of players trying to log into the game from tomorrow may cause some troubles due to server congestion, but Square Enix intends to minimize it after the problems they had during the release of Endwalker. However, you can expect to queue for a bit if you try to log into the game as soon as the servers are up. In any case, the developer studio will keep an eye on AFK players in order to lessen the wait time.
