Behold the beginning of a legend. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an action-oriented RPG that spins a new tale while featuring many of the iconic monsters and jobs from the Final Fantasy series.

The story takes place in an unnamed land where the Four Fiends took control of the world’s crystals, leaving the land to Chaos. Fulfilling an ancient prophecy, four heroes come together to slay Chaos itself and bring peace back to the world. These Heroes of Light—Jack, Ash, Jed, and Neon—must go on a journey to seek answers and liberate the land. But shadows stir within them too. Will they be able to free the world from the grip of Chaos, or will they merely add to the surrounding darkness?

You control Jack Garland, one of the prophesied Heroes of Light. Jack can switch between different Jobs. Start from basic Jobs, including Duelist, Mage, Lancer, and Marauder. You can then upgrade to Advanced Jobs like Knight, Monk, White Mage, and Dragoon. You can even go as high as Expert Jobs: Void Knight, Sage, Paladin, Ninja, and more.

Equip your characters with specialized weapons and prepare to go on missions. A party can have up to 3 characters. You can also play in multiplayer, with up to 3 players working together.

On the world map, you will find various locations to visit and explore. Talk to NPCs to find missions to fulfill. Face the monsters in real-time combat. If you can bring down a monster’s “break gauge” to empty, you can perform a finishing move that turns them into crystal, allowing you to harvest their remains to refill your magic meter.

The world needs its heroes. Be the fated warriors that will save the land from Chaos. Your legend begins now with Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Nice to see a sort of soulslike in the Final Fantasy universe. Haven't seen much of this game but looks good enough to provide challenging combat and some fun times

Never played Final Fantasy before and other series. I would like to try it one day but firstly i need a good pc. Opencritic rate is well 72, steam ratings good too. Game Trailer seems good.

The gameplay of this game is awesome. Switching classes and weapons is recommended and the game feel fresh every time we do that. The story itself is quite cool. Wish square had done a better job marketing this game. Definitely recommend it.

Some of the most cathartic fun ever with two other friends. Say what you want about the story, but it is so fun to experience and joke around with friends. Game play wise was awesome. I'd find myself wanting to keep coming back just cause how fast paced it felt blitzing through the areas. If you have any friends who play this I say get it and hop on with them. Solo playing is fine too, but it is an experience to share with others.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, developed by Team Ninja and Square Enix, is an action rpg, with those soulslike ideas that made the fortune of Nioh, a series developed by Team Ninja. An action RPG that celebrates the original fantasy, the one that started one of the most important and culturally relevant brands in the industry.

KHAYOSS must die! the game. jokes aside, it's a decent final fantasy game with a good plot i guess. the only thing i don't like is the unnecessary rpg element like item stats and live service like mission structure for side missions. should've been 100% linear for my taste

Modern Final Fantasy 0 aka the story of the characters of Final Fantasy 1 that came out on NES in 1987. New characters / Extra content / Different view (Jack instead of warrior of light) and more of everything in general Square Enix just gets it

I'm a great fan of FF serie. Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is an action RPG created in collaboration with the authors of the Ninja Gaiden and Nioh series, and represents a great new horizon for the Final Fantasy series. I cannot wait to play it!
