Behold the beginning of a legend. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an action-oriented RPG that spins a new tale while featuring many of the iconic monsters and jobs from the Final Fantasy series.

The story takes place in an unnamed land where the Four Fiends took control of the world’s crystals, leaving the land to Chaos. Fulfilling an ancient prophecy, four heroes come together to slay Chaos itself and bring peace back to the world. These Heroes of Light—Jack, Ash, Jed, and Neon—must go on a journey to seek answers and liberate the land. But shadows stir within them too. Will they be able to free the world from the grip of Chaos, or will they merely add to the surrounding darkness?

You control Jack Garland, one of the prophesied Heroes of Light. Jack can switch between different Jobs. Start from basic Jobs, including Duelist, Mage, Lancer, and Marauder. You can then upgrade to Advanced Jobs like Knight, Monk, White Mage, and Dragoon. You can even go as high as Expert Jobs: Void Knight, Sage, Paladin, Ninja, and more.

Equip your characters with specialized weapons and prepare to go on missions. A party can have up to 3 characters. You can also play in multiplayer, with up to 3 players working together.

On the world map, you will find various locations to visit and explore. Talk to NPCs to find missions to fulfill. Face the monsters in real-time combat. If you can bring down a monster’s “break gauge” to empty, you can perform a finishing move that turns them into crystal, allowing you to harvest their remains to refill your magic meter.

The world needs its heroes. Be the fated warriors that will save the land from Chaos. Your legend begins now with Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Nice to see a sort of soulslike in the Final Fantasy universe. Haven't seen much of this game but looks good enough to provide challenging combat and some fun times

Never played Final Fantasy before and other series. I would like to try it one day but firstly i need a good pc. Opencritic rate is well 72, steam ratings good too. Game Trailer seems good.

I started the game out of curiosity, and even if the story doesn't seem to be a masterpiece from what I've read, the gameplay isn't bad and the number of different classes intrigues me!

This one looks to be very good... more action I think and so on... the graphics are good and so is the sound. The music sounds great of course. I'll buy it one day ;)

The gameplay of this game is awesome. Switching classes and weapons is recommended and the game feel fresh every time we do that. The story itself is quite cool. Wish square had done a better job marketing this game. Definitely recommend it.

Some of the most cathartic fun ever with two other friends. Say what you want about the story, but it is so fun to experience and joke around with friends. Game play wise was awesome. I'd find myself wanting to keep coming back just cause how fast paced it felt blitzing through the areas. If you have any friends who play this I say get it and hop on with them. Solo playing is fine too, but it is an experience to share with others.

The action-oriented combat is a lot of fun, and the story is engaging and well-paced. I'm also a fan of the world building, which is rich and detailed. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story develops and what challenges await me in the future.

The game is related to the Final Fantasy titles, but it feels more like Nioh in terms of gameplay, the story doesn't seem too good, but the combat looks fun and the fact that the game supports co-op mode is a big plus for me.
