PRAGMATA is a story-driven science fiction action-adventure that pushes players into a visually striking and emotionally charged journey set on the Moon. The game unfolds in a near-future world where advanced technology and artificial intelligence have reshaped human ambition, and where those same innovations have led to catastrophe. What begins as a mission of exploration quickly turns into a fight for survival inside a deserted lunar research facility.

Players take control of Hugh, an astronaut who finds himself stranded after a mysterious incident, and Diana, an android with extraordinary intelligence and abilities. Their partnership is central to the experience, both in gameplay and narrative. While Hugh provides physical strength and combat capability, Diana brings sophisticated hacking skills that are essential to overcoming the station's defenses. Progression depends on coordinating their abilities, creating a layered gameplay system that blends fast-paced action with real-time problem-solving.

The combat system stands out by requiring players to think beyond traditional shooting mechanics. Enemies are protected by advanced armor systems that must be disabled through hacking sequences before they can be defeated. This creates a constant interplay between strategy and reflex, where success depends on managing two distinct skill sets simultaneously. The result is a more deliberate and engaging approach to encounters, encouraging players to adapt rather than rely on brute force.

The lunar setting plays a major role in shaping the atmosphere. The environment is both expansive and claustrophobic, shifting between open, low-gravity exteriors and tightly enclosed interiors filled with abandoned technology. Detailed visuals and careful sound design reinforce a sense of isolation, while environmental storytelling gradually reveals what went wrong at the facility. Every location contributes to a larger narrative about scientific ambition, control, and unintended consequences.

PRAGMATA is also a character-driven story. The relationship between Hugh and Diana evolves as they face escalating threats, raising questions about trust, identity, and the boundaries between human and machine. The narrative explores themes of dependency and cooperation, giving emotional weight to their journey and grounding the futuristic setting in personal stakes.

Combining cinematic presentation, innovative mechanics, and a strong narrative focus, PRAGMATA offers a distinctive take on the action-adventure genre. It is designed for players who value both gameplay depth and storytelling, delivering an experience that is as thoughtful as it is intense.

Glad to see there's big companies still willing to take risks with new IPs like Pragmata. It truly is a great game, with good gameplay, some metroidvania elements and a great story. The bad part is just the duration that is on the short side, but it doesn't harm the experience that much. Hope we get a sequel someday.

In Pragmata, every element serves the gameplay, from the structure of progression to the narrative unfolding. And that's perfectly fine, because it works in a frankly unexpected way. Given the unique nature of the game's concept, it was legitimate to fear a drop in quality in the later stages, where everything could have become even more complicated, risking the game losing its fresh intuitiveness. Yet Pragmata always manages to maintain a refined balance and an enviable awareness of its own uniqueness. Delicate and intense, thrilling and sweet, challenging and intelligently structured, Pragmata doesn't reach peaks of absolute excellence in every aspect, given that the gameplay dominates everything else, but it confirms itself as a valuable work. Games like this, with a bold but not pompous identity, deserve to be protected.

Pragmata looks like a fresh and original sci-fi game with a really strong atmosphere. The mix of shooting and hacking with Diana makes the gameplay idea stand out from a lot of other action-adventure titles. I also like the lonely lunar setting, because it gives the game a cold and mysterious mood that fits the story well. For me, its biggest strength is that it feels ambitious and different, not just another generic space game. Overall, I think Pragmata has a lot of potential and could become one of Capcom’s most memorable new IPs.

This game have a very nice story and if you like singel player games you should try this out. The gameplay is really good also and sound with the music is fitting perfect on it. Graphics is also really good. With some new patches it will be much better for most people. All in all maybe 4 out of 5 stars. ;)

I played for about an hour and didn’t get bored at all; the joint attacks with Diana were especially satisfying. Capcom’s quality really shows in every aspect. The only downside for me is the lack of Turkish language support; other than that, the game is genuinely great. Hacking mechanics, upgrading the terminal, and increasing HP and damage as you progress are all really engaging.
