The Wolf Among Us Remastered: Price, Owner Discount & Episodic Revival

The Wolf Among Us Remastered: Price, Owner Discount & Episodic Revival

The Wolf Among Us Remastered arrived on October 29, 2026, and it is being sold with a genuinely clever launch plan: a $24.99 price tag, a 20% new-player discount until November 12, and a 50% loyalty discount for anyone who already owns the 2013 original. Just as interesting is what this release represents. Narrative-driven, episodic adventures were written off when Telltale shut down in 2018 — but AdHoc Studio's Dispatch proved the formula still works, and now the remastered Bigby Wolf is back to remind everyone. Here is everything you need to know before buying, with all prices as of November 4, 2026.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered Price at Launch

The digital launch price is $24.99 on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. During the launch window, which runs until November 12 at 6:00 AM PT, new players get 20% off, bringing the game down to $19.99. There is a single standard edition and no deluxe tier, so the only decision is which storefront to use. The Nintendo Switch version is coming soon, and Telltale says its discounting will be communicated separately.

Owner Discount: How the 50% Off Works

If you own the original game digitally, the remaster is half price (roughly $12.50) as long as you buy it on the same store with the same account you used before. The rules are strict but fair: physical copies do not qualify because they cannot be verified, Xbox 360 versions do not qualify, and GOG copies do not count either. Xbox owners who got the original through Games with Gold do qualify. On PlayStation 5 there is an extra wrinkle: PlayStation Plus members get the full 50% off, while owners without Plus still get 30% off (about $17.49), and new players without Plus pay full price. The full conditions are laid out on the official launch discount page.

What's New vs the 2013 Original

The Wolf Among Us Remastered keeps the five-episode story intact, allowing players to join Bigby Wolf in his endeavors as sheriff of Fabletown. The new version of the game features a visual overhaul with improved lighting, animation and environments, updated audio, plus a Noir Mode that renders all of Fabletown in black and white and can be toggled at any time. Bonus material includes developer commentary, concept art, interviews and restored content. If you already own the 2013 original on Steam or Epic, check whether the loyalty price is showing on the store page before paying anything. Episodic Adventures Are Back

The timing of this remaster is not a coincidence. Episodic narrative adventures were declared dead after Telltale shut down, but Dispatch — the superhero workplace comedy from AdHoc Studio, founded by former Telltale developers — sold over one million copies within ten days of its October 2025 launch and its reviews are still Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam, with a second season now openly discussed. Audiences still show up for a well-told, immersive story, and with The Wolf Among Us 2 in the pipeline, Telltale is betting on exactly that. The remaster is the cheapest entry point into its universe and a signal that this genre is far from finished.

Where to Buy It Cheapest

The launch discount applies directly on the storefronts, but key resellers often undercut official stores within days. Compare offers across all of them and grab The Wolf Among Us Remastered at the lowest price through our price comparison platform before the November 12 deadline.
