A very poor remake, the game is pretty, but poorly optimized. Fps lock at 60 fps for a PC game, that's a bit of a joke. For the low base price of 80 euros (much cheaper thanks to Dlcompare), it's hard to swallow when you see what other studios have done for less recently (Clair Obscur, Mafia).

MGS DELTA is an almost 1:1 remake. The game's greatest strength is undoubtedly its deep, philosophical story. It transcends the typical spy thriller to explore deep themes of loyalty, the blurred lines between good and evil, and the very nature of a soldier's purpose in a world controlled by shadowy agendas. I was too young to play the original and never had a PS2 growing up, so I can't really compare this remake to the original. However, according to other gamers, it's probably pretty close to the original, which is fine by me. In any case, I had a lot of fun catching up with Metal Gear Solid 3 in this modernized form. If you liked the gameplay of MGS V, you should probably have no problem adapting fairly quickly.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an extremely faithful recreation, yet graphically and technically modern. It uses Unreal Engine 5 to render environments, characters, lighting, and animations with a realism that rewrites the original experience, while keeping its soul intact (especially in terms of content, where Konami decided to proceed with extreme caution, using the same voice acting and music—with only one change related to the Snake Eater theme—and leaving the story unchanged.

A classic remastered. It's as goods as the original was with some great graphics and extras on top. However, it's another title to add to the list of UE5 games that suffer from poor performance, so you'll need a beefy PC to handle it.

Remake part: It remains faithful to the base game. The transition to UE5 renders very nicely, with superb character models, especially during cinematics. The addition of new controls is an excellent improvement. The shooting phases are much more pleasant than in the original version. From a technical point of view, it's impeccable. The only negative point is that the AI has not been reworked, and remains deaf and blind.

This remake, from what I've seen of it, looks faithful to its original version, worthy of a Japanese version of nanard, the big mess of fights to die for, Snake's outfits worthy of Cirque Pinder, nah really, it's all there and seeing it in 2025 feels good, you may find it strange/rebutting but I hope that the other MGSs will also be remade in their turn so that the whole story is modernized!

This remake is a bit of an introduction to the license, given that it's a prequel. You can choose your own mode of play, either old-school with a fixed camera or shoulder-mounted. The game is quite beautiful, even if I prefer the original for certain aesthetic choices (the lights in the cemetery scene, for example).

Magnificent game. The story, the characters, the ending.... This Snake Eater being one of the best games ever but now renewed. This remake is a super faithful game to the original including the rough controls and gameplay of the original but adding some tweaks like a faster camouflage and some extra stuff from MGSV. Graphically there is not much to say as it is obvious its improvement. The sound also seems to have improved.
