Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection brings a fresh evolution to the beloved monster-riding RPG formula, delivering a sweeping adventure filled with emotional stakes, striking creatures, and a world on the edge of collapse.

Set amid rising tension between the nations of Azuria and Vermeil, the story begins with the discovery of what is believed to be the final surviving Rathalos egg. When not one but twin Rathalos hatch, each bearing the rare Skyscale pattern tied to a long-buried conflict, their existence ignites renewed fears and hope in equal measure. As a newly bonded Rider, you and your Rathalos are thrust into a turbulent journey to unravel ancient mysteries, rebuild trust between divided peoples, and confront forces that threaten the balance of nature itself.

Gameplay blends exploration, strategy, and personal connection. You'll nurture monsters from hatchling to powerhouse, strengthen your partnership through shared battles, and refine unique abilities that reflect your choices as a Rider. The turn-based combat system emphasizes teamwork and timing, offering rewarding encounters that deepen your relationship with both your monster allies and the world around you. Along the way, you’ll customize your Rider, craft new gear, and shape a party capable of facing both familiar beasts and entirely new threats.

Every region invites discovery and reveals pieces of a narrative centered on heritage, identity, and the bonds that can mend or fracture a world. With richly designed environments, expressive characters, and a dramatic storyline, Twisted Reflection offers an adventure that feels both intimate and grand. Monster Hunter Stories 3 delivers a deeply emotional RPG experience where your choices, your companions, and your bond with your Rathalos define the fate of the future.

Very good game in the tradition of the first ones, BUT why are there always technical problems with MH games? The game crashes regularly, it even froze my whole pc, crash reports take 5-10 minutes to be sent ... that's a long time!!! I don't think I have too weak a config to play.

For anyone who'd like a good game of little monsters, Pokémon-style, only less mediocre, there's certainly something here for you. I thought the first ones were great, and I have no doubt that this third one will be even better, especially in view of the other comments.

Awesome sequel! It's great to see so much lore being added to the Monster Hunter universe, even though it's being told in a spin off title. The graphics are beautiful and the performance is excellent. You can spend a lot of time looking for the exact monster you want and while that can be a bit repetitive, most of the game is still pretty fun. Definitely recommended for turn-based RPG fans and for MH fans that want to see more of the franchise.

This third opus is clearly the most ambitious, while the first remained fairly simple and the 2nd already expanded the formula, this one offers a colossal lifespan. Between the story, the quests and the optimization of the Monsties, you can spend dozens of hours without missing a beat. The monster system remains as addictive as ever, and turn-based combat works well, even if I would have liked more weapons (morpho, volto, etc.). Visually, it's very successful and pleasant to explore. It's also clear that Capcom is continuing to make quality games. The demo is a real plus for testing before buying. I just hope that the fourth opus will finally offer VF for even greater immersion.

After several hours of play, I can say that I'm really enjoying Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. What I like most is still the Monsties system. Finding eggs in nests, hatching them and discovering new monsters is still very satisfying. Then you can train them, modify their genes and create a truly personalized team. Turn-based combat is also very effective. Visually, the game is a real success. The environments are colorful and the monsters are very well animated. You can feel that a great deal of care has gone into the design. Exploration is pleasant and some areas are really nice to explore. Some are just too small. The game is still very enjoyable, and I think JRPG or Monster Hunter fans will easily spend dozens of hours playing it.

I only tested the demo, but Monster Hunter Stories 3 really intrigued me. The turn-based combat system struck me as both simple to understand and strategic, especially with the mechanics of evolving and merging monsters. I liked the care taken with the design of the monsters and the variety of environments: the world seems lively and colorful, and it feels like there will be plenty to explore in the full game. The story, even if partial in the demo, gave me the impression of being more polished than in previous episodes, with engaging characters and an immersive universe. Based on feedback from players who have completed the game, it really does seem to offer a balanced mix of collecting, tactics and exploration. For my part, even though I haven't played the full game, I think it's a promising title that should please fans of the series and newcomers alike.

Unlike the main installments of the series, which traditionally focus on cooperative hunting and gear progression through repeated encounters with monsters, Monster Hunter Stories adopts a completely different structure. It is a turn-based JRPG, closer in structure to the great Japanese role-playing games. The combat system is based on a strategic rock-paper-scissors dynamic involving three types of attack (power, speed, and technique), requiring players to predict their opponent's moves to gain a tactical advantage. Alongside this system, one of the series' most distinctive elements returns: the ability to bond with monsters, called Monsties, which can be brought into battle and ridden during exploration. This component, of course, is somewhat reminiscent of the collection and training of creatures typical of other franchises.

I have been playing MH Stories 3 for a few days now and overall my opinion is very positive. The game succeeds very well in combining exploration, strategy and collection of monsters. Looking for eggs in the nests always remains an exciting moment, because you never know which one you will get. Then we can train them, improve their skills and build a team that really suits our play style. The battles are also very well thought out. Even if the basic system is fairly simple, it still requires a bit of strategy, especially in more difficult battles. Special attacks and combined attacks also give very spectacular moments during clashes. Graphically, the game is really pleasant to look at. We enjoy exploring different parts of the world. On the other hand, I notice that the story could have been a bit more developed. Some characters are interesting, but we would have liked to learn more about them

Having played the first two Monster Hunter Stories, I was curious to see what Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection had to offer. We're back to the core of the series: exploring, searching for eggs in dens and building your team. Fighting mechanics are still present, but combat requires a little more anticipation, as monsters change their behavior more often. The atmosphere is darker than in previous games, which makes the story more interesting. The variant monsters also add a bit of visual novelty. I was also impressed by the music, which remains epic but with more melancholy passages that fit in well with the adventure. The start is a little slow and some of the quests are repetitive, but for fans of the first two, this remains a solid sequel.

According to the players' opinions and what I could see in the demo, Monster Hunter Stories 3 is a strategic and immersive JRPG, focusing on the breeding and combat of monsties. The turn-based system seems deep and tactical, and the possibility to evolve and merge its creatures brings customization. The world appears alive and colorful, with varied regions and successful monster designs. The story seems more elaborate than in previous installments, with endearing characters. Some players, however, report repetitive lengths or side quests and a few drops in performance depending on the platform. For my part, I only tested the demo, but feedback suggests that the full game remains an excellent entry point for the series, captivating both fans and newcomers
