Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is, without a doubt, one of the best installments in the Level-5 saga. Numerous modes ensure extreme replayability. The gameplay is incredibly deep, and while it can be confusing for newcomers, it's flexible enough to allow even those who don't want to waste too much time with stats and menus to enjoy the single-player modes. The role-playing translation of soccer matches is functional, as always, with a faster pace than in the past thanks to streamlining certain stages, such as the 1-on-1 duel. Graphically, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road stands out more for its style—the cinematics are at times stunning—than for its technical capabilities, which are on par with the competition. However, the production certainly doesn't aim to excel in terms of aesthetics, although every screen displays an enviable cleanliness. Ultimately, the wait has been well worth it.

steam says u can unlock 5400 characters... thats a lot of characters epic soccer battles, imagine dragonball but soccer free gacha to unlock characters, get your adhd satisfied + story campaings to unlock even more characters -70 bucks game, thats 10 above the cap. unlucky

RPG et Football marchent plutôt bien ensemble mais ça rends la boucle de gameplay beaucoup trop répétitive pour en faire un très bon jeu. Ca reste un jeu moyen et oubliable malgré le marché peu compétitif de ces deux genres mélangés. Il y'a grave moyen d'en faire un jeu trop cool pourtant. Je trouve ça dommage et ça me rappelle les jeux de combats Namco qui se ressemblent tous malgré les différents univers. On s'arrête à du fan service plutôt qu'a un jeu travaillé.

The gameplay on the field is much smoother than I expected. Despite the amount of effects and super techniques, the ball moves naturally and allows for very creative plays. Stealing the ball in the middle, combining with a couple of passes and finishing with a charged technique from outside the box is a real blast. I like that the game rewards both strategy and timing, and that it's not all about mindlessly spamming skills.

The story mode seems to me one of the great successes. You get to know the characters little by little, you see their personal conflicts, past traumas and the dreams that push them to keep playing. That makes each match have an extra weight: you don't just want to win for points, but for what it means to them. There are scenes that seem to be taken directly from the series, with motivational speeches and very marked rivalries that put you right into the atmosphere.
