The new exotic armour is the most anticipated feature in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Destiny 2: The Final Shape will arrive next June and change Bungie's shooter with the addition of a new storyline, the new Prismatic subclass, and plenty of other novelties. Among those, the introduction of a new type of exotics that combines several powers is something that will pair very well with the abilities of the Prismatic subclass, as they exponentially increase the number of possible interactions and add tactical depth to Destiny 2's gameplay. Bungie has recently delved into the details of the new exotics in an official blog post where the studio reveals how to earn them and what perks are available.
Unbridled power
In Destiny 2: The Final Shape, exotic class items will feature two unique perks from a list that includes some of the favourites of the fans from previous expansions of the game, but also some new ones that have been designed with the new Prismatic subclass in mind. These perks are separated into two different columns that you can check out here, and each exotic item will feature one power from each column. Bungie has opted for this system to prevent the possible abuse of certain combinations that would surely destroy the game's meta.
Those with experience in Destiny 2 will notice that some of these perks were exclusive to some specific class in the past, but now they have more possible interactions to adapt to the way the new subclass works. It's worth noticing that the new exotic class item perks will only work when you have the Prismatic subclass equipped. Therefore, they will only be available to those who own Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
To earn these new items, you will have to take part in a new activity but Bungie is yet to disclose any details about it.
"The Exotic Class items will be part of a new activity that unlocks after the Raid World First, at the beginning of Week 2. We don’t want to spoil what the activity is all about or how to unlock it, but we can say it's farmable, and you will get a guaranteed random roll each time you complete it."
With all the novelties and the introductions of these powerful items, the upcoming expansion will be a game-changer for Destiny 2 players. The expansion will arrive in a few weeks but Bungie has just most of the previous content available to all players for free for a limited time. Therefore, it's the best moment to immerse into the world of Destiny 2, especially if you want to play the game for free. You can use our comparator pre-order Destiny 2: The Final Shape if you want to explore the depths of the Traveler as soon as the expansion is available.
