Xbox launches new Handheld Compatibility Program for ROG Ally

Microsoft has officially announced the release date for its Xbox handheld devices, the ROG Ally and ROG Ally X, which were initially introduced in June 2025. • Mostly Compatible: This indicates that certain games may need minor adjustments in-game to provide the best experience on a handheld device. 

Additionally, games will showcase a Windows Performance Fit indicator reflecting the anticipated performance on the supported device. If a game is marked as both “Handheld Optimized” and has a Windows Performance Fit badge of “Should play great” or “Should play well,” it indicates compatibility and performance suitability—offering you extra confidence before diving in.
