Destiny 2: The Final Shape is reportedly delayed

According to sources contacted by Bloomberg, the release of the upcoming expansion has been delayed to next June. Originally, the release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape was scheduled for February 27, 2024, but it would take the expansion several months more to get ready for release.

Layoffs and delays

This report has arrived alongside the recent wave of layoffs that have been taking place in the video game sector during this year, and there is also news about Bungie being the latest studio whose staff has been cut. Rumour has it that PlayStation is undergoing a restructuring. Sony bought Bungie not too long ago, it seems normal that the studio is affected by these.
