Codename Red becomes Assassin's Creed Shadows

Codename Red becomes Assassin's Creed Shadows

Ubisoft is having great success with the latest video games in the Assassin's Creed series. Last year, Assassin's Creed Mirage took the main series back to its roots with a shorter story and deeper gameplay based on stealth mechanics and assassination. A smaller but more intense game demonstrated that there is no need to maintain the bombastic grandiosity of previous Assassin's Creed games to make the fans happy. Of course, Ubisoft Bordeaux did a great job by creating a game that represents with great authenticity Baghdad during the 9th century. After all, historical accuracy is one of the signature traits of the series, and the next installment will also take us to an exciting period in history.

Welcome to Japan

The game formerly known as Assassin's Creed Codename Red has been renamed to Assassin's Creed Shadows. This upcoming new entry in the popular series from Ubisoft will take the franchise far to the east, to the mysterious lands of Ancient Japan. So far, very few things are known about the game, other than it will be released on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X. Just the setting has been enough to generate a great level of expectation for the title, and now that its true name has been revealed, we hope that information about Assassin's Creed Shadows will finally start arriving on a steady basis.

Alongside this announcement, a certain rumour about the release date for Assassin's Creed Shadows has started circulating. Rumour has it that the game will be released on November 15, but there is no official confirmation on this matter. However, tomorrow's world premiere may shed some light on all the questions regarding Assassin's Creed Shadows.
