Borderlands 4 Worldwide Release Schedule and Launch Times

The arrival of Borderlands 4 is around the corner, and fans across the globe will be jumping into the mayhem at almost the same moment. Gearbox has confirmed that the game will launch with a coordinated worldwide release on PC, eliminating the usual staggered rollout that leaves some regions playing hours ahead of others.

On PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Borderlands 4 unlocks at 9 a.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, September 11, 2025. That means players in North America can dive in late morning or around lunchtime, while those in Europe will gain access during the evening hours. For Asia and Oceania, the release falls just after midnight, rolling into the early hours of Friday, September 12.

Console players will follow a slightly different schedule. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox, the game will become available at midnight local time on Friday, September 12. The only exception is for players in the U.S. West Coast and regions sharing that time zone, where the unlock arrives a bit earlier at 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 11.

Nintendo Switch 2 is also getting in on the action, though fans there will need to wait a little longer. The handheld console version is set to launch several weeks after other platforms, with a confirmed release date of Friday, October 3, 2025.

One thing PC players should note is the lack of a preload option so far. As of launch week, there has been no indication that pre-downloads will be available ahead of time.
