If NBA 2K25 had lost some of its excitement, NBA 2K26 reverses that trend with a MyCareer mode that's the best in years thanks to its incredible pre-game storyline. And like a reliable roster of players, a handful of tweaks, most notably the updated shot meter and player movement, tie everything together harmoniously, making gameplay in every mode less stressful and more rewarding.

Delivers smoother more realistic gameplay with the ProPLAY motion engine and enhancing movement and shooting. the visuals are awesome! upgraded lighting, dynamic crowds & arenas. Immersive next-gen glow-up feels like courtside TV and on 60FPS. the City it self has been Revamped with compact layout and quick skating to Rec/Arena is a major improvement

Les progrès sur ce jeux ont l'air prometteurs. L'ambiance, le gameplay poussé encore plus loin, le réalisme, un mode carrière aux petits oignons et tout ce qu'on aime en NBA. Il manque peut être des modes funs comme un concours de dunks ou ce genre de choses qui permettraient de se détendre entre deux compétitions mais globalement, ce jeu me fait très envie !

We are currently in 2K's PEAK, the gameplay is very good, they are putting in objectives and motivating people to play, they are listening to community feedback, etc. BUT like every year, we have the same ERRORS. It's unbelievable that they still have the same bugs as when I bought 2k21. It can't be that every time I play a game all the settings I have are removed.

I haven't played 2k since I think 2k18, because the games were getting progressively worse. I felt some nostalgia the other day, so I decided to pick up 2k26. This game is horrible. Of course, I'll still play it a bit, to still have that nostalgia, but it's so disappointing. It's very annoying, especially playing online with latency. If you throw the ball a little late or early, it has a 0 percent chance of the ball going in. On the other hand, some players who don't have jobs or school and just play this game all day have perfected their timing so that, as long as they are decently open, they never miss a shot. The menus are tedious to navigate. It seems like no one said no when designing the user interface, because there are a lot of buttons and menus to get through.

NBA 2K26 brings more realism, deeper game modes and greater integration between the NBA and the WNBA. For those who have played the franchise in recent years, you may not notice a big difference, but the gameplay, the fluidity of the matches and the realism of the mechanics seem better in this new game. Despite the positive points, optimization problems affect some players and the aggressive monetization that the franchise is known for is still present.

I decided to give NBA 2K a shot by buying it the week of release. Previously I would buy it when it was on sale. 2K orients much of the content to MyPlayer to online multiplayer play, forcing you to run around town to do even the most basic things and pressuring you to complete multiplayer challenges or buy more microtransactions all the time. It's a shame. I want to be able to play with 60-80 players and win because of good team play, instead you have a bunch of players who paid to get 90+ overall ratings and play like circus clowns. It's silly to play with teammates with 90+ overall ratings that allow the other team to pick and choose non-stop all game. It's like their actual basketball IQ is inversely proportional to their overall rating. I will never buy NBA 2K ever again.

NBA 2K26 is a more optimized 25: smaller city, more fluid (200 fps), but still 60 fps max online and no crossplay. Gameplay almost identical, but a little faster and more fluid. Career is still pay-to-win: ~300k VC for a decent player, 400k for a complete build. Modes are virtually unchanged. Online, expect to come across the same abused archetypes and few collectives.

NBA 2K26 is an improvement on the formula. In terms of graphics, it's the best in the series, with more realistic character modeling (face/transpiration) and more beautiful lighting effects. The atmosphere is always perfect, allowing us to be totally immersed in each match, and the content is very generous, with numerous game modes (my team /my nba /WNBA/1v1/2v2 ...). Gameplay has been slightly accelerated, making dribble/playup combinations more enjoyable and easier to execute. The shooting system has also been redesigned, eliminating the RNG effect of earlier games. The career mode is a nice touch, with consequences depending on match performance and different drafts possible, adding replayability to the mode. The only negative point, which really spoils the (online) experience, is the microtransactions, which cost around €80 or an extremely long time to set up your player 99.
