Capcom promises major releases till March 2023

According to a recent earnings report, Capcom intends to release several major releases by the end of March 2023, the period closing the current fiscal year. The publisher's calendar anticipates the arrival of upcoming Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter titles while also targeting the debut of IPs.

The news comes shortly after Capcom presented its results for the fiscal year which ended March this year, revealing that it achieved its ninth consecutive year of operating revenue growth, record sales, and the fifth consecutive year of record profits across the board.

With a turnover of $847 million, the publisher achieved a 15.5 percent increase over the previous year and is not far from matching its record 2018-2019 fiscal year that had concluded at just over $851 million, thanks to the success of Monster Hunter World. Operating income was up 24% year-over-year to $329 million.

Capcom games that may launch until 2023

Between April 2022 and March 2023, the company plans to release several big games and sell more units than in the past two fiscal years. In the last fiscal year, Capcom sold 32.6 million, beating the previous year, in which they sold 30.1 million. The company has informed its investors that it expects to sell more than 37 million units of its games from now until March 2023 and that 10 million will be new releases.

In addition to the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom will also release two retro collections: Capcom Fighting Collection and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. In addition, the Resident Evil franchise has versions of its games for the new console generation, such as Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 7, including its new multiplayer, Resident Evil Re:Verse.

It's worth noting that Capcom also has Exoprimal, Pragmata, and Street Fighter 6 scheduled for release in 2023. If any of them are released early in the year, that could help reach the 37-million goal.
