Assassin's Creed Shadows may have cooperative multiplayer
The future of the Assassin's Creed series is uncertain. Ubisoft's current situation, with its shares at their historic minimum value due to the bad results of the French developer's latest games, doesn't contribute to creating a stable environment for the upcoming launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows. In fact, the release has been delayed a few months, and now rumour has it that it was really needed because the final version of the game wasn't good enough. With such a panorama, the concerns about the future of the series keep growing and the fans can only hope for better news.
While the developer studio continues working on making Assassin's Creed Shadows an experience worthy of the series' legacy, there are plenty of leaks about the game. Today we are talking about a very specific one that could change Assassin's Creed forever.
Two heroes together
Information from Inside Gamer reveals that Assassin's Creed Shadows will have a cooperative mode that will allow two players to play cooperatively. Not many details have been revealed about this gameplay mode that would be added to the game after its launch. The two protagonists of the game, Yasuke and Naoe would be able to share their adventure and work together as they progress. This would mean the return of a feature that has been missing in the series for quite a long while. Assassin's Creed: Unity has been the only game in the series with a solid approach to cooperative gameplay so far. Other types of multiplayer modes have been present in some other Assassin's Creed games, but they were more focused on PvP and never became too popular.
Assassin's Creed Shadows is bound to become a game-changer for the franchise. It's the first game in the series starring a female character, and it may also bring back cooperative multiplayer. Unfortunately, we won't know more details about this mode until Ubisoft decides to reveal it, and it's probably not happening anytime soon because the studio is quite busy trying to improve the game experience.
With the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows scheduled for February 14, 2025, we may have more information on this matter early next year. In any case, remember that you can use our comparator to buy Assassin's Creed Shadows at the best price.
