IO Interactive has officially unveiled the first 13 minutes of 007 First Light after gameplay footage from the upcoming James Bond game leaked online over the weekend. Instead of limiting its response to copyright strikes and takedowns, the Danish studio decided to release a polished extended gameplay presentation, giving players an authorized look at the title ahead of launch.

A surprising way to adress the leak

The leak reportedly appeared through early copies of the game that reached some users before release. Clips quickly spread across social media and video-sharing platforms, revealing parts of the opening Iceland mission and several story sequences tied to Bond's early career. While low-quality versions of the footage circulated online, IO Interactive moved quickly to regain control of the narrative by publishing its own high-definition gameplay showcase.
