Steam Autumn Sale is live with hundreds of PC game deals for one week
The leaves may be falling, but Steam has something else dropping this week: game prices. Valve has officially kicked off the Steam Autumn Sale 2026, bringing discounts to thousands of PC games, DLC packs, and other content across the storefront.
With 2026 entering its final stretch, the latest seasonal sale gives PC players another opportunity to work through their wishlists before the year comes to an end. Steam's biggest store-wide discounts only arrive a handful of times each year, making the Autumn Sale another chance to pick up games that have been sitting on your wishlist for a while.
There is no strict theme for the event, although horror games naturally get plenty of attention around this time of year. Valve is also continuing its tradition of launching the sale with a tongue-in-cheek promotional trailer, this time hosted by Kaci Aitchison and packed with highlights from the games currently receiving discounts.
The Steam storefront's front page is once again being used to showcase recommended games, with featured titles changing daily. However, Valve has not brought back the old flash deals, meaning discounts remain fixed throughout the event rather than changing every few hours.
There is already plenty to choose from, including major releases such as Resident Evil Requiem, Death Stranding 2, Gothic Remake, Forza Horizon 6, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, 007 First Light, Big Walk, and Halo Campaign Evolved. The exact discount varies from game to game, so checking individual listings is still worthwhile.
The Deep Discounts section has also returned, making it easier to find some of the biggest price cuts in the sale. Selected games are discounted by as much as 85% to 95%, including popular titles such as Far Cry 6, Jagged Alliance 3, Monster Hunter Rise, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus. The selection is somewhat smaller than in previous Autumn Sales, but there are still plenty of older games available at substantial discounts.
The Steam Awards are once again absent from the Autumn Sale, following last year's change that moved the awards away from this seasonal event. They are expected to return separately in November.
The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 runs until October 8 at 10am PT, giving shoppers one week to browse the discounts. As always, if you’re looking to get the most value from your gaming budget, be sure to browse our dedicated deals hub for the latest offers.
