Players are hunting look-alikes across 007 First Light

007 First Light is out now, and players are already loving it

007 First Light is finally out, and it looks like IO Interactive has pulled off something Bond fans have been waiting years to see. This is not another lazy licensed game built around a famous name. It is a proper James Bond origin story, taking players back to a younger, rougher, less polished version of 007 before he becomes the spy everyone knows. He is talented, dangerous, and clearly made for this world, but he is still learning how to become Bond.

The best part is that people are already having a lot of fun with it. Players are jumping in, sharing clips, and spotting all kinds of small details across the gameplay. One of the funniest things so far is how the game seems packed with characters that look like streamers, celebrities, or familiar internet faces, turning some scenes into a weird little “wait, is that supposed to be…?” hunt. It gives players another reason to slow down, look around, and enjoy the world instead of just rushing from one objective to the next.

Stealth, gadgets, and proper Bond chaos

As a Bond game, 007 First Light really knows what it wants to be. It mixes stealth, action, gadgets, driving, investigation, and big cinematic moments without feeling like it is stuck in one lane. You can sneak through situations, bluff your way past people, get messy when things go wrong, and still feel like you are playing a proper spy story. That IO Interactive touch is definitely there, but this is not just Hitman wearing a tuxedo. It has its own pace, its own attitude, and a much more story-driven feel.

The game also looks amazing. From sharp character models to slick lighting, expensive-looking locations, and those classic Bond-style set pieces, it has the kind of presentation you expect from a modern spy blockbuster. Reviews have been praising it so far too, especially for its cinematic feel, strong Bond energy, and the way it brings the character back to games in a serious way.

So, if you have been waiting for a new Bond game that actually feels worth your time, this is one to check out. Use our price comparison tool to find the best prices for 007 First Light and grab the cheapest deal before jumping into Bond’s first mission.

007 First Light semble démarrer très fort.

Finally, someone approached the Bond brand with an idea and an attempt to tell something fresh, instead of just cutting coupons from a well-known name. The theme of a young 007 and his path to becoming a legend sounds really promising, and these tidbits with "doubles" only add to the game's character and encourage more thorough exploration.

It's a real surprise: without really knowing what to expect from 007 First Light, I ended up having an excellent time. This successful adaptation perfectly respects the spirit of the franchise, thanks in particular to a Bond who is more human and less infallible than usual. The strong point is the excellent balance between action and infiltration. Far from being a simple, frenetic shooter, the title encourages observation, reflection and the intelligent use of gadgets. Supported by spectacular staging, the missions follow one another without redundancy. Although there are a few hiccups, such as the slightly inferior vehicle phases, nothing detracts from the overall experience.

Many times games based on secret agents end up becoming simple shooters, but from what players comment, here it seems that stealth, investigation and gadgets are quite important.

Frankly, IO Interactive (the studio behind Hitman) has succeeded perfectly. The game reinterprets the James Bond character brilliantly: we find the spirit of the films, its charm, its humor and that iconic license to kill, but with a younger, more impulsive Bond, which fits in perfectly with the original story. In terms of gameplay, it's a delight: the visuals, cutting-edge AI and freedom of approach of Hitman (infiltration, gadgets, multiple paths) are all there, but the studio has adapted the formula to suit the more nervous and spectacular action of 007. In short, it's still great IOI, but with Bond's soul added.

As an absolute fan of the James Bond universe, 007 First Light was one of my most eagerly awaited games of the year, and the verdict is clear: it's an unqualified success. The title brilliantly captures everything that makes the license so charming, blending elegance, tension and spectacular action. I loved the balance between the infiltration sequences, where every decision counts, and the more explosive moments reminiscent of the saga's best films. Buoyed by its meticulous direction, the game offers some truly memorable moments. Even if the gameplay doesn't break any new ground, it's still devilishly effective and fun to play. All in all, this is a solid, fast-paced adventure that perfectly respects the world of Agent 007. An unmissable experience for fans of the British spy.
