XCOM 2 is free to play for a week

Last week we learned that a new game from the XCOM series was to be released very soon. The day has arrived, and XCOM: Chimera Squad is available today on PC via Steam. As a reminder, XCOM: Chimera Squad takes place five years after the events of XCOM 2. On the occasion of the release of this new game, the previous episode of the series can be played for free. From now until April 30, a free XCOM 2 trial is available on Steam and Xbox One. XCOM 2 is a direct sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It offers a story that takes place 20 years later and in which humanity has lost the battle against the aliens. The game is divided into two main phases, one of management, where you organize your troops and upcoming operations. For this, you have an HQ, the Avenger, a ship stolen from the hands of aliens. These take the form of missions that take place all over the world in which you will have to decide the movements and attacks of your troops, who are formed by different types of soldiers, each of them specialized in a different area.
