Long War 2 Mod is out now for XCOM 2!

XCOM 2 is an awesome title that lives up to the expectations most of the players had for a new installment of one of the most famous strategy franchises. With great additions to the gameplay, fantastic visuals and a good story it delivers everything you could expect from an XCOM title. If we were to put a "but" in here, it would be that every game you play feels like it is just a bit too short. It happened also to the previous title but the mod support of both games allows for a fix. It was like that with the Long War mod for XCOM: Enemy Unknown and it's finally going to be the same for the most recent XCOM installment. Pavonis Interactive, the group of modders that developed the first one, have just released the Long War 2 for PC!

Long War 2 is a HUGE mod for XCOM 2 that changes the original campaign into a longer one, running for 100 to 120 missions on average. It also comes with multiple other features for the game that include two new type of weapons (laser and coilguns), nine new soldier classes, new mission types, dozens of new enemies, a smarter AI and more! It turns your gameplay into something feeling a tad more similar to what you got when playing the first and original UFO: Enemy Unknown, the predecessor of the current series.

Also, you can download Long War 2 completely free from Steam Workshop if you own the base game. The only drawback from the mod is that it won't work with any other total conversion mods for XCOM 2 and that, since it's the first release version, it still has some minor bugs. But the developers are already working on them and this mod will prolong the already long hours of fun that you can get from Firaxis Games' title.
