It is the fifth installment in the Borderlands series and is a sequel to 2012's Borderlands 2. The game features four playable characters—each with their unique abilities, playstyles, skillsets, and backstories—who must work together to stop a powerful cult known as the Children of the Vault from unleashing ancient alien forces on Pandora.
