Warhammer 40,000: Darktide expands with a new free DLC
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide had a rather slow start despite generating huge expectations among the fans of Games Workshop's tabletop games. The good results of Vermintide and Vermintide 2 demonstrated that the horde-shooter environment was a very good option to represent the Warhammer universe, and adapting it to Warhammer 40,000 did sound quite good. Overall, developer Fatshark did a great job, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide soon caught the eye of many players. However, some flaws in the progression system made the game a bit disappointing in its origins despite offering quite a solid gameplay experience. Fortunately, Fatshark has managed to reconduct things again into a more appealing format, and the release of a series of free updates has contributed to making the game much better in terms of progression. Also, the addition of new missions and additional cosmetic options alongside a rework of the talent trees have had a deep impact on the gameplay, offering more options than ever.
More novelties
Fatshark continues to improve Warhammer 40,000: Darktide with new content and the studio has just released a new big update called Secrets of the Machine God. This DLC is available for free to all those who own the game, and it adds a brand new mission, new weapons, balance changes, and a plethora of other minor modifications that enhance gameplay. The mission is called Clandestium Gloriana, and it requires that your team retakes and defends a massive factory that was once used by the tech-priests. The biggest novelty about this mission is that its content will change in every room, boosting its replayability to unprecedented levels in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
When logging into Darktide, players will also notice that Ogryns can now use two-handed pickaxes to strike down their opponents while Zealots, Psykers and Veterans have access to shock mauls, double-barreled shotguns, and bolt pistols. With these, plenty of new tactical options and builds will be available in the game.
