Krater is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game developed by an independent studio, Fatshark. The game is set in the Swedish region of Dalarna, after a catastrophic event has destroyed the world's surface, leaving the survivors living underground.

In Krater, players have to lead a small team of explorers throughout the treacherous world of the cult-favorite, Scandinavian post-apocalypse. The game features an extensive crafting system where players can gather resources and create new items such as weapons, armor, and medical supplies. It also offers character customization with over 12 classes, four of which are available from the start with the others unlocked as the player progresses through the game.

The game offers real-time combat encounters where players must utilize the unique abilities of each member of their team. Additionally, players must use strategy and tactics to overcome challenging missions, dangerous enemies, and puzzles.
