Tekken 8 will not use Denuvo

When it comes to very popular video game series every little detail is really important. The new installment in the Tekken series is quite relevant as Tekken 8 will continue the legacy of one of the most iconic fighting video game series of all time. During the past few months, we have witnessed the reveal of many of the fighters that will be present in the game. Both familiar characters like Kazuya Mishima and newcomers like Azucena will be in the initial lineup of fighters available in Tekken 8 at launch. Unfortunately, the promotion of the game has been also hit by some controversy.

Denuvo fears

During the last few days, there's been a lot of rumors about Tekken 8 possibly using Denuvo anti-cheat software. The result has been a cascade of negative feedback coming from the fans of the series. The reason is simple, Denuvo is famous for having caused performance problems in other games in the past. Although such a thing may not be that important in other cases, minimal delays or slow responsiveness can mean the difference between a win and a loss in Tekken 8. Therefore, the fans have been quite riled up, which eventually has caused Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada to settle this matter by confirming that the game won't be using Denuvo at all. Harada seems to be quite annoyed because of the magnitude of the complaints, especially since they turn out to be completely baseless.
