GTA VI Release: All the information available
The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI is almost over. After years of rumours and speculation, Rockstar Games has finally revealed when players will be able to jump into Vice City and the state of Leonida, how much the game will cost, and the editions that will be available at launch.
All you need to know about the release
Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Although the studio has not yet published a complete global launch map, the game is expected to unlock at midnight in each region, meaning players in countries such as Australia and New Zealand will likely begin their adventure several hours before those in Europe and North America because of time-zone differences.
For players in Europe, GTA VI should become available at 00:00 local time on November 19. The same midnight launch window is also expected in the United Kingdom and across the United States, following Rockstar's traditional release strategy for major titles.
Alongside the release date, Rockstar has officially unveiled the game's pricing. The Standard Edition of GTA VI is priced at $79.99, placing it among the first major AAA releases to adopt the new $80 price point. Depending on taxes and regional conversions, the game is expected to retail for around €79.99 to €89.99 in Europe. The Standard Edition includes the full GTA VI experience and grants access to the enormous open world created by Rockstar. Players who purchase the game early will also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, a bonus bundle containing themed cosmetic items, a classic vehicle and other in-game rewards. In addition, digital pre-orders include a complimentary month of GTA+ membership.
Players looking for additional content can opt for the Ultimate Edition, which carries a price tag of $99.99. This premium version includes a collection of digital bonuses, such as exclusive vehicles, special outfits, unique weapons and additional cosmetic items inspired by the game's protagonists, Jason and Lucia. The Ultimate Edition is designed for players who want extra content from day one. Alongside the base game, it offers several exclusive items and customization options that cannot be accessed through the standard version at launch, making it the most complete package currently announced by Rockstar.
Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI officially begin on June 25, 2026, both through digital storefronts and selected retailers worldwide. Rockstar has also confirmed that physical copies will be available, although some versions may include a download code instead of a traditional game disc.
At launch, GTA VI will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version has not yet been announced, but many fans expect Rockstar to bring the game to computers at a later date, following the same release pattern used for previous entries in the series.
With its return to Vice City, a record-breaking level of anticipation and one of the biggest launches in gaming history on the horizon, Grand Theft Auto VI is already shaping up to be the defining video game of 2026.
