Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is a compilation that brings you updated versions of three original games in the GTA series as you know it today. Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City were the first three games in the series that used graphics in 3D to deliver an exciting action experience like no other, and the ones that made the series famous worldwide. With this compilation, you will be able to enjoy them with remastered graphics and GTAV-style controls, which take their original experience to a new level on modern platforms.

Grand Theft Auto III takes you to Liberty City to follow the story of Claude, who is on a personal quest for vengeance after being betrayed and left for dead by his girlfriend during a heist.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City follows the story of Tomy Vercetti, a mobster who is building his own criminal empire

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas offers you a whole state to adventure as Carl "CJ" Johnson, a former mobster who is not able to leave behind his old way of life.

Each of the games in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition follows the story of a different character and takes place in a different scenario. Still, all of them offer the same type of thrilling gameplay full of action and give you total freedom to do whatever you want in the game.

Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition is a good way to (re)discover three legendary titles of the PS2 era. They're the same and yet very different in terms of visuals. But it's not really 100% good and even on PS5, it struggles to deliver a totally smooth experience. Not to mention that they feel a bit old if you talk about gameplay. Still effective, but be prepared.

GTA is undoubtedly the best video game series in history. All the freedom that the game gives you is already an incredible experience without the need to go through the main story. In few games I have managed to have this feeling.

A fiasco. The game is released with more bugs/glitches than the original versions. Sure they made an effort on the graphics, lighting and shadows but that's it, NOTHING else. Honestly I asked for a refund because it's not possible to sell a product like that. Take the originals, and use mods, the experience will be better (except for the graphics, the mods are good but not as good as the Definitive Edition). Metacritic score : 0.5/10, it's revealing....
