During the broadcast dedicated to celebrating 10 years of the Dragon's Dogma series, Capcom confirmed that it has begun development on an official sequel. Without revealing many details about the title, the Japanese company confirmed that it will again be directed by Hideaki Mitsuno.
In addition to releasing the official logo for Dragon's Dogma II, the developer confirmed that it will be created using the RE Engine. Initially applied in the Resident Evil series, the technology has been expanded to the company's main series and has already been used in titles such as Street Fighter 6 and Devil May Cry 5, the latter also directed by Mitsuno.
The commemoration video also told Hideaki's trajectory, from joining Capcom to his desire to create a high fantasy action-RPG single player, but with aspects like playing online with friends.
