The release of Mafia: Definitive Edition has been postponed

Clearly, 2020 is not the year of punctuality. A number of games have already been postponed due to the coronavirus crisis, which will likely continue having an impact for a while. Today, it's Mafia: Definitive Edition which sees its release delayed.

Announced last May, the remake of the first game in the Mafia series was initially due to be released on August 28, but 2K Games announced yesterday that Mafia: Definitive Edition will not be released until September 25.

Therefore, we will have to wait almost a month longer. It's certainly a little frustrating when you have to wait a bit longer for a game to come out, but it looks like we're going to have to get used to it, at least for a while. This is to say that its preferable to wait for a little longer rather than having a game that has been finished in a rush.

Precisely, to make the wait less annoying for us, 2K Games has announced that there will be a new overview of the game very soon. We have an appointment on July 22 to discover the gameplay of Mafia: Definitive Edition with the president of Hangar 13, Haden Blackman. Right now, we don't exactly know yet if it will be a gameplay trailer or a live game session.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a complete remake of the game from 2002, and it offers us the opportunity of reliving the adventures of taxi driver Tommy Angelo with graphics in 4K. It includes all the content of the original game and even some new features, such as the addition of a new type of vehicle, the motorcycles. The narration in the game has also been deepened and allows us to discover more about the story of the characters.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is postponed to September 25. It will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can visit our comparator already to get it at the best price.
