its good, but lacks what makes a good fighting game, THE fighting game. Still needs work but its not a failure

I understand the many positive opinions, but I couldn't get into it. The combat is indeed well-constructed, however everything else lacks depth. The story mode seems rushed, the menus don't give a very modern impression, and the content available at launch seems a bit light. For a game focused on competition, this probably works better, but I expected a more complete experience. Technically, nothing catastrophic, just the feeling that it would have benefited from a few more months of development before its release.

As someone who likes Avatar but doesn’t play every fighting game, this still caught my attention. It has that “fan dream game” energy, and that alone makes it easier to root for, even before trying it.

Without revolutionizing the genre, Avatar Legends offers a serious fighting game. The fights are dynamic, and each character has a distinct style, avoiding the feeling of repetition. The single-player content is fairly standard, and some aspects of the presentation could have benefited from more work. The outcome depends largely on what you're looking for: an Avatar fan will easily find their way around the game, while a more hardcore single-player player may quickly see its limitations.

If you want to hop in and mess around with a super fun fighting system with great characters and well drawn animations, absolutely get it. Otherwise, wait it out. This game was unfortunately rushed and is unfinished.
