Palworld update 1.0.2 fixes crashes, boss bugs and multiplayer issues

Palworld’s latest update makes Sunreach and boss battles more stable
Updates & Patches

Palworld’s full 1.0 launch introduced plenty of new adventures, but a release this big was always going to bring a few wild bugs along for the ride. Update 1.0.2 is now available, focusing on crashes, multiplayer stability, broken encounters and progression problems that could interrupt players while exploring the game’s latest content.

One of the biggest fixes targets the Panthalus battle. Dedicated servers could previously disconnect during the encounter, while individual players sometimes crashed in the middle of the fight. Both problems should now be resolved, making it much safer to gather your squad, prepare your strongest Pals and challenge the boss without worrying that the server will give up before you do.

Major boss battles get much-needed fixes

The update also improves several other major encounters. Victor and Shadowbeak should no longer disappear after using their teleportation attack, while a lighting issue affecting guest players after respawning during the final boss has been corrected. World Tree terrain should also display properly for the host when another player has already entered the area, removing another frustrating multiplayer problem.

Progression has received some welcome attention too. Update 1.0.2 fixes softlocks that could happen when dialogue was interrupted during The First Islander main mission and the Captured Adventurer side mission. The Predator Hunter achievement should now unlock correctly, alongside achievements tied to collecting Pal Effigies. Xbox players will also see the correct icons for two Lifmunk Effigy achievements.

Players who enjoy customising their controls now have more freedom as well. The “Attack that enemy!” command and inventory action can be rebound, while several conflicts involving older control settings and the middle mouse button have been fixed. The missing Inventory Shortcut option has also returned.

Other improvements include corrected character-eye visuals, accurate mining damage numbers and reduced processing demands while exploring Sunreach. That final optimisation should help the new region run more smoothly, especially during busy moments filled with creatures, combat and environmental activity.

Update 1.0.2 may not add another mountain of content, but it makes Palworld’s biggest new features more reliable and enjoyable. Ready to jump into Sunreach or take another shot at Panthalus?
