Steam’s PvE Survival Crafting Fest offers up to 90% off on survival hits

Valve has been frequently release many varied official sales and events, cementing Steam's reputation for constant value through frequent discounts and widespread game participation. With the latest themed festival now live, it's the perfect week to pick up those survival or crafting games you've been eyeing.

The Steam PvE Survival Crafting Fest 2026 is now live, bringing discounts and demos for a wide range of games centered around exploration, crafting, building, and surviving against environmental threats and hostile creatures. The genre has become a major force on Steam, with hits such as Palworld and Enshrouded helping cement its popularity.

As usual, Valve has also released a tongue-in-cheek trailer hosted by Kaci Aitchison, giving players a quick tour of the event and highlighting some of the discounted titles. There are plenty of familiar names alongside lesser-known games, while numerous demos offer an easy way to try something before spending any money.

One particularly timely pick is Project Zomboid, which recently received its stable 42.20.0 update. The major update brings substantial changes to the game, including an overhauled map, expanded crafting systems, and multiplayer improvements, making the ongoing sale a good opportunity to jump into the zombie survival sandbox.

Meanwhile, Astroneer takes the survival-crafting formula into space. Players can explore colorful alien planets, reshape terrain, construct modular bases, travel between worlds, and gradually automate their operations as their interplanetary adventure expands.

Craftopia is another unusual option. Developed by Pocketpair, the studio behind Palworld, it combines farming, automation, dungeon crawling, hack-and-slash combat, and extensive base building. It's difficult to put into a single genre, but that's part of its appeal. For something more relaxing, Len's Island mixes farming, construction, exploration, and combat. You can grow crops and build a comfortable home before venturing into dangerous dungeons in search of valuable loot and completing quests scattered around the mysterious island.

These are just a handful of the games featured in the event, with plenty more discounts and demos available throughout the week. The Steam PvE Survival Crafting Fest 2026 began on August 31 and will run through September 7, 2026, giving survival fans one week to explore the deals.
