Grand Theft Auto VI has an official release window

After one of the most anticipated reveals in the last decade the expectation around the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI was through the roof. A spectacular presentation video has been more than enough to fuel plenty of speculation about the next title from Rockstar Games. We know very little about the game other than it will be set in Vice City and will feature the first female protagonist in the GTA series. Fortunately, publisher Take-Two has finally put an end to this uncertainty after speculations that were delaying the release of Grand Theft Auto VI to 2026. An official release window for the game has been revealed in the company's latest financial report. Grand Theft Auto VI will be available to play on consoles in the fall of 2025.

"As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games' previously established window of Calendar 2025 to the Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase."

Take-Two expects that Grand Theft Auto VI will generate a lot of cash throughout the years after the game is released. If Rockstar Games delivers the game that everyone is expecting after the reveal of GTA VI and there is not some big mishap as happened with the poor quality of the remake of the GTA Trilogy, the upcoming installment in the popular open-world series could easily become the most successful video game in history leaving far behind its predecessor.
