God of War: Ragnarök does not need any additions to be one of the best games of all time on PlayStation but all those that have joined Kratos and Atreus on their latest adventure will receive its latest update with joy. As we revealed a few months ago, Santa Monica Studios was planning to release a New Game Plus mode for God of War: Ragnarök and it's finally available today.
Relive an epic adventure
Of course, the first requirement to be able to enjoy the New Game Plus mode is to finish the game at least once. Then you can start playing God of War: Ragknarök all over again but you can keep most of the equipment, skills, and weapons you unlocked during your previous run. There are certain items that will need to be unlocked again by reaching certain points in the story (Hex and Sonic arrows, for example).
In New Game Plus mode, you will face more powerful enemies and much harder challenges, and it's even possible to raise the difficulty even further by equipping Kratos with the Spartan Armor, which has no special powers and can't be improved. Those not willing to go that far will find very useful the option to upgrade their gear and weapons beyond level 9 to face the new threats. You can also modify your older armor with a variety of new colors and styles to make Kratos look better than ever. All these changes are already available in God of War: Ragnarök via a free update that also adds new progression paths and several gameplay improvements.
