God of War Ragnarok footage looks impressive

As summer is coming to an end, things seem to be speeding up in the world of video games. We witnessed plenty of announcements during the last Gamescom, but yesterday's PlayStation Showcase 2021 brought us news about some of the most anticipated games. God of War Ragnarok was the star of the show, and we could finally watch the first footage of Kratos' new adventure in a video. Santa Monica Studio didn't disappoint us, and the God of War Ragnarok looks impressive. Of course, that's the bare minimum required to stay at the previous God of War level, which significantly contributed to the success of PlayStation 4 in 2018.

Kratos and his son Atreus will have to face the end of the world in God of War Ragnarok, and you can see them preparing for such a task in the reveal trailer, which also gives us some insight into the story of the game. Despite Kratos is willing to go any lenghts to avoid a war with the gods to protect his son, it seems that he will be dragged in to it one way or another. The events will lead father and son into another epic adventure where they will battle gods, humans and monsters to rescue the god Tyr and unravel the schemes of Loki, as they look for a way to stop the Ragnarök from happening. This is all just a perfect excuse to watch Kratos in action once again as he explores the Nine Realms and lays waste to his enemies with his axe and double-chained blades in spectacular ways.

Even though it will not be available until next year, God of War Ragnarok has all the elements to become one of the most important releases in PlayStation 5. We can't want to know more about the game, and we are sure that the developer will show more of it in the upcoming months ahead of the release. Meanwhile, you can find the best price for God of War on our comparator if you want to accompany Kratos and his son on their first adventure together.
