Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout continues breaking records

At this time, it's undeniable that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has become the game of the year 2020 whether it manages to win the award or not. The incredibly huge popularity of Mediatonic's battle royale platformer began right after it was released but it has continued to skyrocket to unprecedented heights in the weeks after that. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is now the most downloaded PS Plus game of all time. Although some may not deem that as merit because the game is free for PS Plus subscribers, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is also doing quite well on other platforms, having surpassed the mark of 7 million copies sold on Steam. Devolver Digital has just announced it on its official Twitter account and the publisher has more than enough reasons to be quite happy, because Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is its biggest launch ever, leaving behind Enter the Gungeon and the Serious Sam series.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will still have to compete with other games like Cyberpunk 2077 for the Game of the Year award, but the game has become so popular already that you can even play with its characters in other games. It's now possible to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Resident Evil 3 as one of the famous bean-like characters in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout thanks to the creativity of some modders.

But not everything is dreamlike in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, and like in many other games, more players mean more people trying to cheat. Thankfully, Mediatonic is doing quite a good job addressing that problem and they have taken plenty of actions to stop cheaters. The last of those has been disabling Family-Sharing on Steam to prevent cheaters from sharing the game with other accounts created by themselves.

We don't know what the future holds in store for Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, but whatever it happens, nobody will be able to deny its huge success. If you are not playing it already you are missing a lot of fun.
