Anno 1800: the open beta has a starting date!

After having seen its release postponed by a few weeks, Anno 1800 will finally be available on April 16th on PC. Despite having made a stop in the future with Anno 2070 and Anno 2205, the franchise returns to the past with this new installment, to the time of the industrial era more precisely. The beginning of the 19th century is a period rich in discoveries of all kinds, so you will not be lacking in exploration. It was also a century of significant social changes, and everything was possible for anyone who knew how to seize his opportunity. It is in this context that you will evolve in Anno 1800, between discoveries of new territories and technologies, political conflicts and revolutions.

In terms of gameplay, Anno 1800 resumes the features that made the success of the series. In this strategic city-builder, you'll be able to take on a solo campaign in which you can shape the world to your image, have a good time with the sandbox mode, or play with players from around the globe in classic multiplayer. The cards are always generated randomly, to allow you high replayability. Many new challenges await you, with a whole continent to discover, South America. The perfect opportunity for you to discover even more resources to exploit, create new alliances, and take advantage of all the chances that the New World has to offer.

If the adventure tempts you, know that you can try Anno 1800 for free during the open beta that will run from April 12 to 14 on PC. If you have not had the opportunity to participate in the closed beta that has just ended, these two days will be a great chance to discover the game and to form your own opinion, just before the official release. It is not yet known, however, whether the proposed content will be identical or not to the one in the previous beta event. The open beta will be accessible to all players unconditionally.
