Total War: WARHAMMER - Call of the Beastmen is an expansion for the grand strategy game based on the popular miniatures franchise from Games Workshop. This addon expands the contents of the main game with a new faction and two legendary lords and the ‘Eye for an Eye’ campaign for the Beastmen.

Tainted by the corrupting essence of Chaos, the savage Beastmen are a race of mutated creatures, half-human, half-aberration, that form a bloodthirsty horde ready to invade the Old World from the northern wastelands. The Beastmen army is comprised of gigantic abominations and beastly warriors, and they are powerful contenders whose brute force allows them to defeat any opponent in close combat. Their insatiable lust for battle and unending rage are enough to summon additional forces to the battlefield, thanks to their unique army mechanics. They are a bit more collaborative than chaos Warriors, so Beastmen commanders can use a wider variety of strategies on the battlefield.

The Eye for an Eye campaign pits the Beastmen against the humans from the Empire. Under the leadership of the Legendary Beast-Lord Khazrak The One Eye, a ravenous horde will engage in a guerrilla war and strike the lands of Middenheim. By laying waste to the human territories with incursions from the nearby woodlands, Khazrak will try to unite the Beastmen tribes in the area to raise a powerful army able to ravage the lands of the Empire.

If you want to command the Beastmen as a different Lord, Malagor The Dark Omen is a powerful shaman whose troops revel in performing the foulest acts of blasphemy and pillage. He is able to field additional bray shamans to hex opposing armies and demoralize their units.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: How does the 'Hordes' mechanic impact settlement management for the Beastmen?
Beastmen do not occupy settlements in the traditional sense. Instead, they raze them for resources and can establish temporary 'Herdstone' outposts to replenish their forces and build unique structures, which are later abandoned as the horde moves on. This changes the game style to a nomadic playstyle.; Can Beastmen lords confederate with other Beastmen factions, and if so, how does it work?
Yes, Beastmen can confederate. It is usually done through military strength and relationships. They can conquer the settlements of their kin, offering the leadership of the recently conquered lord to the player and adding their units to the player's army.; Explain the role of 'Bestial Rage' in the Beastmen campaign.
Bestial Rage is a resource that builds up through various actions like raiding and razing settlements. It provides benefits like increased unit stats, faster army movement, and a boost to recruitment, which pushes the player to be aggressive.; How does the 'Brayherd' system affect the Beastmen's campaign strategy?
Brayherds are sub-armies that can be spawned and managed by the player lord. They can be sent to raid, harass, and disrupt enemy territories independently. These offer different benefits based on their composition and deployment. Effectively, this increases the number of armies controlled by the Beastmen, adding to their horde-style play.; What is the function of the 'Herdstone' structures, and how are they maintained?
Herdstone structures are built within a region a Beastmen army has occupied. They provide various benefits, such as unit recruitment, research bonuses, and income. They are maintained by spending Bestial Rage and require an army to remain nearby to prevent being destroyed by the enemy.; How do the Beastmen gain access to higher-tier units?
Beastmen unlock higher-tier units through a combination of building upgrades at Herdstone outposts and researching technologies. Some units also have specific requirements, such as controlling certain regions or having a lord with a specific trait.; What role do the 'Moon Times' play in the Beastmen campaign?
Moon Times are specific phases of the in-game calendar that provide unique bonuses and events to the Beastmen. These can range from increased income and unit replenishment to the spawning of special units and powerful rituals.; How does the Beastmen's research system differ from other factions?
Beastmen research is tied to their raiding and razing of settlements, and their use of the Herdstone outposts. Specific actions and building structures speed up research, allowing Beastmen to unlock new technologies and units.; Can Beastmen heroes be used to infiltrate and sabotage enemy settlements?
Yes, Beastmen heroes can perform various actions in enemy territories, including disrupting the economy, assassinating enemy characters, and even attempting to incite rebellions. They are crucial for undermining settlements and preparing them for a Beastmen invasion.; What is the primary victory condition for the Beastmen campaign?
The primary victory condition for the Beastmen involves destroying specific key settlements or factions that the game designates as enemies. This typically includes a mix of razing settlements and engaging in large-scale warfare to achieve their objectives.
