Warzone and Black Ops - Cold War receive a new update

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 kicked off a while ago, on February 25 to be precise. The free-to-play battle royale has now received its mid-season update, which improves certain aspects of the game in addition to bringing new content.

One of the main criticisms that players make of Warzone, in particular those who also own Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, is about the rather enormous weight of the game. The update deployed yesterday lowers it considerably. On paper, the update itself takes over 50GB, which seems far from light, but once downloaded, you will see your game's overall weight decrease enough to make room for other things in your hard drive. The amount of freed space on each platform is as follows:

On PS4 and PS5: 10.9 GB for Warzone alone or 30.6 GB for Warzone and Modern Warfare.

On Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S: 14.2 GB for Warzone alone or 33.6 GB for Warzone and Modern Warfare.

On PC: 11.8 GB for Warzone alone or 30.6 GB for Warzone and Modern Warfare.

Along with this change, the update also introduces content for Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, including a new operator, Wolf. You can unlock it right now in the shop, and another one, Rivas, should arrive a bit later. According to Treyarch, some other new features should arrive later this week, but there are plenty available already, such as the emblem showcase, the option “Set as favorite” to select classes in quick equip, and finally the possibility to inspect operator models in the lobby. A host of bug fixes and various improvements accompany these new features.
