Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal is coming next Thursday

Although Activision Blizzard is immersed in a huge controversy due to the State of California's lawsuit against it, nothing can stop the company from announcing the upcoming game in the Call of Duty series. This year's installment will be revealed in a similar manner to Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War since it will take place in Warzone later this week. Not much has been revealed about Call of Duty: Vanguard so far. We know that the game is set around the World War II period, that it's getting a beta, and pretty much that's it. Of course, there are plenty of rumors circulating about the game, but we are bound to discover many more things about the game during the official reveal in just a couple of days.

The official statement on this matter leaves no doubt about the schedule of the event:

"At 10:30 AM PT on August 19, the Battle of Verdansk will begin in Call of Duty®: WarzoneTM.

Join the battle and experience the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard live in-game.

Be the first to the fight and be rewarded – report to Warzone and play in any playlist between 9:30 AM and 10:29 AM PT and prepare to participate in a limited-time Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP event before the battle begins."

If you are a fan of Call of Duty but are playing Black Ops - Cold War instead of Warzone, you will have to pay a visit to the free-to-play battle royale if you want to discover Call of Duty: Vanguard first hand.

Many players are pretty upset with Activision Blizzard due to the company's response to the lawsuit, and it may happen that some form of protest or boycott will take place during the event. Still, Call of Duty: Vanguard is likely to become one of the big reveals of 2021.
