Sand Land demo is now available for consoles and PC

Bandai Namco announced that the demo for Sand Land, the next action RPG based on the original work of Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump), is now available. Akira Toriyama was an exceptional and influential mangaka and character designer who unfortunately passed away on March 1, causing an immense void in the industry and in the hearts of fans. However, his works will live on forever.

The demo invites players to experience some thrilling close combat and vehicle exploration in Sand Land. Players take on the roles of the Demon Prince Beelzebub, his companion Thief, and the fearless Sheriff Rao as this group of misfit heroes ventures into this colorful world driving Battle Tanks, Armored Vehicles, and Motorcycles. When the full game launches, fans who play the demo will receive 30 B-grade steel and 30 B-grade bolts. These in-game items can be used to enhance vehicles whenever players visit Spino.

Sand Land Gameplay is Focused on Vehicles

In Sand Land, most gameplay will occur within vehicles like hovertanks and hovercrafts. Players can customize and create specific configurations for each vehicle and shoot down enemies while driving them. In addition to their arsenal, it will be possible to customize each automobile with decals and other types of aesthetic effects.

Sand Land is a popular manga created in 2000 by Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump, and character design of the Dragon Quest series and Chrono Trigger. Due to his author's relevance, Sand Land has gained worldwide popularity since its publication. In a desert world where demons and humans suffer from extreme water scarcity, Beelzebub, the Demon Prince, and Rao, a sheriff from a small town, team up and embark on an adventure searching for a hidden water source.

In December 2022, the Sand Land project was announced, and several partners joined forces to bring this classic manga intellectual property to transmedia. The project began with the co-production of an anime film by Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc.'s Sunrise Studio, Kamikazedouga Co. Ltd., and ANIMA Inc., followed by the official revelation of the Sand Land game in June 2023. It didn't take long for the game to announce its release date.

Sand Land is scheduled for release on April 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
