Capcom has officially released a free playable demo for Resident Evil Requiem, allowing fans to experience the company's newest survival horror title ahead of its next wave of updates and content. The demo is now available across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, making it accessible to players on every current major gaming platform.

A great oportunity to discover the game

The trial version of Resident Evil Requiem offers a preview of the game's tense atmosphere, cinematic storytelling, and updated gameplay mechanics. Players can explore the opening section of the adventure and get a first look at the dark environments, enemy encounters, and puzzle-solving elements that define the latest chapter in the iconic franchise. However, Capcom has confirmed that save data from the demo will not carry over into the full game. The reason for this is that the demo offers a piece of content that is not at the begining of the game.

 

 

Resident Evil Requiem introduces a new protagonist, FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, while also bringing back legendary series character Leon S. Kennedy. The story returns to the remains of Raccoon City years after the catastrophic events that destroyed it, blending psychological horror with action-focused gameplay. The game also supports both first-person and third-person perspectives, giving players the freedom to choose how they want to experience the horror.

Since its launch earlier this year, Resident Evil Requiem has attracted significant attention from both longtime fans and newcomers to the franchise. Capcom continues to expand the experience with updates and promotional events, and the surprise release of a free demo is expected to draw even more players into the game.

The demo can be downloaded now through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo eShop. Capcom has not yet revealed how long the free trial will remain available.
