Arkane Austin has released a new trailer detailing some aspects of the studio's upcoming first-person shooter. Redfall is set on the eponymous island, a beautiful and sunny island that has been overrun by a horde of vampires. The bloodsuckers have used their dark powers to cause an eclipse that has plunged the whole island into darkness. They intend to use it as a bastion for their evil machinations that also serves as hunting grounds. Darkness overcomes everything
In Redfall, you will play as a survivor of the initial massacre that decimated the population of the island. Surviving by any means is your main goal in the game, followed by helping other people to stay alive, and pushing back the vampires in order to restore Redfall to its former glory. Unfortunately, the arrival of the vampires has caused several factions to fight for a piece of the cake. Groups of mercenaries and cultists are just as dangerous as the undead monsters and will make your life even harder. You will have to find allies and cooperate with other players if you want to succeed in your mission and claim back your home.
