Persona 5: The Royal gets a release date

Persona 5: The Royal gets a release date

We anticipated it a month ago in another post when a teaser showing an unknown female character was shown by Atlus. Now we are getting an official confirmation about the release of the new version of Persona 5. It will launch in Japan on October 31st this year, and it will be released in other regions at some point in 2020. Persona 5: The Royal is a new version of the role-playing game from Atlus that will include several new features and additions. Among those, you can find a new character that will join the ranks fo the Phantom Thieves, Kasumi Yoshizawa, (the red-haired girl in the video, that will use a sword and a rifle in combat), and also a new confidant, Takuto Maruki, that will act as the school counselor at Shujin Academy. A video showing some of those features have been published, but it's in Japanese.

The expanded story of Persona 5: The Royal includes a full new semester, where players will be able to explore new locations, take part in social events, and develop more social links. This new version will also support PlayStation 4 Pro featuring improved visuals. Those of you that don´t know what Persona 5 is are missing a Japanese-style role-playing game with dungeon crawling elements that follows the story of a group of students of the Shujin Academy in modern Japan. Under the name of Phantom Thieves and using special powers they are to fight the Shadows, physical manifestations of humanity's darkest desires.
