Atlus is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Metaphor: ReFantazio with a special livestream event this weekend, teasing fans with what could be an exciting announcement for the acclaimed fantasy JRPG.

Released in October 2024, Metaphor: ReFantazio marked Atlus’ first original IP in over a decade, developed by Studio Zero — the team behind Persona 5. According to Atlus West, the Metaphor: ReFantazio Anniversary Livestream will take place on October 10, 2025, at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET, streaming live on YouTube. While the event will primarily serve as a celebration of the game’s first year, Atlus also hinted at a “special message” to be delivered during the broadcast. The nature of this message remains a mystery, but fans are already speculating about what it might reveal.
