Metaphor: ReFantazio is a new game from the creators of the Persona series that is set in a fantasy world. The unique approach to combat and action from Persona games serves as a base for the gameplay mechanics of this adventure. In Metaphor: ReFantazio, you embark on a quest to restore the rightful heir to the kingdom's throne to his position by removing the curse bestowed on him. The king has been assassinated, the prince is lost, and several factions compete to gain power while the kingdom is in chaos. Alongside your fairy companion Gallica, you will navigate a sprawling fantasy world on an epic adventure in order to save the kingdom.

The game features an exciting progression system that lets you unlock powerful Archetype abilities. You can build a party that accompanies you in your mission, choosing from a variety of different classes, each with its own unique skills and powers. As you navigate the world, you will engage challenging enemies in combat. Combining turn-based and real-time mechanics, Metaphor: ReFantazio offers a unique experience full of action.

If you like RPGs, or Persona / Shin megami tensei, this game can't disappoint. The storyline is, as you'd expect from Atlus, very gripping. The music is cool, the AD is original, and the gameplay is faithful to that of Persona. I personally loved it.

The story, characters, OST and world-building completely blew me away. The pacing of the story is very good and held my attention from start to finish. A very good JRPG.

It seems to be one of the best games released this year. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but given its creators, I expect to be amazed by the narrative when I get around to it.
