Overwatch's Storm Rising April 16 - May 6, 2019

They call it Arc in animes, it’s a brilliant way of shedding light to the backstories of your favorite characters before the official sequel begins. In video gaming, annual archives are the best way to do that, to go deeper into the backstories of the characters in the game. Overwatch’s archive event this year, Storm Rising features Winston, Mercy, Genji, and Tracer. All of them are teaming up together to take down a member of Talon’s council. Overwatch’s Storm Rising runs from April 16th to May 6th on all platforms including PC, PS4 and Xbox One. For this mission, your team’s target is the wealthy member of the Talon council and an Omnic accountant, Maximilien. We last saw him in the Doomfist Masquerade. Along with your squad, you play as a part of two infamous duos: Winston and Tracer, and Mercy and Genji.

Your target is seen traveling to Havana, Cuba in a convoy. In your cool and futuristic motorbikes, you rush through the streets of Havana, Cuba and intercept his protectors before stopping the car with Maximilien in it. Genji then takes out his blade readying to cut him out of the car. This is your mission, to get rid of the Omnic accountant and finally bring peace to the beautiful city of Havana, Cuba. The people have suffered enough from the shady events surrounding the city caused by Maximilien. It’s about time to put a stop to his madness. Check the trailer below to see the new Overwatch seasonal mission.

Storm Rising comes with new highlight intros, emotes, sprays, and other cosmetics that you can grab during the event. There are also over a hundred items available from the 2018 Archive Retribution. So far, there are already nine new skins that have been revealed for this Overwatch event with more to appear in the coming days.
