NieR: Automata goes Gold

Publisher Square Enix has announced today that the upcoming action/RPG title developed by PlatinumGames Inc. has gone Gold.

NieR: Automata is finally out of the developement stage and it is ready for its future launch on March this year. That's a fact that has also been confirmed through Twitter by the game's producer, Yosuke Saito, that also explains that the game has been finished for a while now.

最近の流行りらしいから書けと言われたので書きますが、「ニーア オートマタはマスターアップしました!(随分前に)」というわけで、発売まで諸々よろしくお願い申し上げます。 #NieR pic.twitter.com/BPOyNipM08

The announcement is definitely good news for the creators of Bayonetta, after Microsoft announced the cancellation of one of their big shared projects last month and the Xbox-exclusive Scalebound was called off. NieR: Automata is an open world, dark, post-apocalyptic action-roleplaying game where mankind has been driven out of the Earth and into the Moon by the invasion of deadly "machine lifeforms" from another world. The council that rules humanity has decided to send to the planet a special unit of android infantry to eliminate the invaders and put an end to the deadlock situation they are trapped in. If you want to take a look at the game before its release for PlayStation 4 on 7th March (10th Match for EU), you can download and play the demo available in Playstation Store, entitled as "DEMO 120161128", where you can "follow android 2B's mission to destroy a massive enemy weapon."
