God of War is getting better graphics on PS5

Many people would consider it unusual that we are talking about a game that is several years old, but if we consider that God of War is one of the most impressive games of all time it's not strange that any reference about it ends in the headlines of every news site. With God of War: Ragnarok in development, all the fans of the franchise are dying to hear more about the sequel to God of War but the launch of PlayStation 5 a couple of months ago is going to be a reason for them to have another look at the old PS4 game once more. Sony’s Santa Monica Studio has announced in a statement that God of War is getting a dedicated patch for PlayStation 5 today to enhance the performance of the game in the new console.

We will be releasing a free patch that replaces the current video graphics mode option with a new default setting that will offer the best of both performance and resolution to our PlayStation 5 players!

If you play God of War on PlayStation 4 Pro you can choose between two different graphic modes. One of them favors performance and the other resolution. The upcoming free patch removes that limitation for PlayStation 5, and it lets you get the best of both worlds. Starting today you will be able to play God of War with 60 FPS, 4K resolution, and 2160 p for an experience like no other. Obviously, to watch the game in 4K you need an appropriate display device.

Those changes are optional and you won't be forced to change your screen to a 4K to play God of War on PlayStation 5. You can choose to play with the original graphic settings anytime. Whatever the console you use to play God of War, the game still offers an epic experience that nobody should miss.
