God of War will receive a free New Game+ mode this month

Sony has finally confirmed the release date of the New Game+ mode for God of War. Since they announced during the E3 2018 back in June that the latest adventure starring Kratos would have a new mode to let us enjoy the game again to the fullest, all of us that already had a blast playing God of War, have been dying to know when it would finally be available. August 20th, 2018 is the date chosen to launch the free update that will add the New Game+ mode to God of War.

New Game+ will be available only to those that have completed the main campaign in the game, and it will add a new way of playing the game. You will be able to relive the journey of Kratos from the beginning on whatever difficulty you choose, but this time you will carry over your progress including all the gear, abilities and resources you had.

If you are still wondering whats so great about this mode, you should know that New Game Mode+ will let you battle higher level enemies, some of them with new unspecified "tricks". Also, other than finding new sets of armor and enchantments, you will be able to craft and upgrade powerful items of a new rarity through the use of a new resource called "Skap Slag". Among the other interesting changes that the free update will include, some of you may find very useful the option of skipping all the cinematics both in normal and New Game+ modes once you have finished the full game once.

God of War was released on April 20th, 2018 exclusively on PlayStation 4, and it's considered one already one of the best games of the year and a gameplay experience that nobody should miss. You will enjoy it, even more, when the New Game+ update lands.
