This DLC is now included in the Lord of Hatred expansion. If you purchased it prior, like I did, congratulations, you don't get a discount for the new DLC.

Je ne suis pas convaincu que rajouter un perso, un chapitre, des items et quelques éléments de gameplay sans ambition par ci par là suffisent. Blizzard se repose sur ses lauriers quand la concurrence fait beaucoup mieux depuis un moment. Personnellement, ils m'ont perdu.

Rather than reinventing the game, the DLC expands its foundations with new challenges and systems that make Sanctuary feel more dangerous and alive. The added content blends naturally into the core experience, pushing players to rethink their builds and combat approach without overwhelming them. While it may not radically change Diablo IV, Lord of Hatred succeeds as a strong expansion that deepens the world and gives dedicated players a solid reason to dive back into the grind.

I'm expecting a lot from the Lord of Hatred DLC for Diablo IV, especially after the solid foundations laid by the game and its previous content. Above all, I'm hoping for a compelling story, centered on a strong and memorable threat, capable of further deepening the dark universe of Sanctuary. I'd like the narrative to be more present, with truly memorable moments and charismatic antagonists that make you want to go further. But my expectations are mainly focused on the endgame content, particularly in co-op. Playing regularly in co-op with a friend, I hope to see more activities designed for multiplayer play: more demanding dungeons, dynamic co-op events, or even challenges requiring real coordination. Having common long-term goals would greatly enhance replayability and the pleasure of playing together. More rewards for group play would also be a real plus.

For Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, my expectations are high, especially on a narrative level. For me, the return of Mephisto is the ideal opportunity to deepen the dark and tragic universe of Diablo, with a more striking story, more emotionally intense and less linear. I'm hoping for a scenario that takes risks and really feels that our actions have consequences for the world. On the gameplay side, I am waiting for a DLC that enriches the experience without changing it. New mechanics, more varied endgame activities and a better balance between challenge and rewards would be essential to maintain long-term interest. I also hope the boss battles will be memorable, both demanding and spectacular. Finally, I expect an even more oppressive artistic direction, with areas characterized by Mephisto's hatred and corruption

Personally, I love this expansion because it enriches Sanctuary with exciting narrative content and renewed mechanics, while respecting the dark and addictive spirit of Diablo. The exploration of Skovos, the return of classic mechanics like the Horadrique Cube and the prospect of a final fight against Mephisto offer an experience that is both nostalgic and innovative. The new paladin class from the little I've seen seems pretty cool to me. I hope that we will be entitled to new activities endgame intended to be done in group of several players. It is a DLC designed to renew the experience and rekindle the interest of players in the long term.

I disagree. On the one hand, Mephisto is a great choice. On the other hand, I'm afraid Blizzard might just use him as a marketing ploy. If the DLC boils down to a few new zones and a spectacular but empty final boss, it will be disappointing, especially for the price. The paladin looks really cool, I'm waiting to see what happens. As for the 2nd class, I hope Blizzard won't recycle a class from Diablo 2. I hope to be pleasantly surprised by this Lord of Hatred, but I keep my expectations moderate

I am quite confident about the overall quality of the DLC. Blizzard usually knows how to curate its extensions. I simply hope that they will avoid recycling existing content and prioritize novelty. I also hope they will pay special attention to the DLC's villain; Mephisto deserves more than a classic final confrontation. Although the first new feature looks like an existing class from Diablo 3, good customization and some new features in terms of gameplay would be enough to satisfy me
